Tuesday WLS Express
Wow, trying to be positive, but can I just scream Calgon Take me Away????? 2 funerals in less than 1 week. I know they say things like that come in 3's but enough already! Our Business Manager died Friday and his funeral was yesterday. We didn't have to come to work before or after the funeral and Bill took off with me too. I high-tailed it to the doc after the service and sure enough, my self-diagnosis was correct...sinus infection. Got some Flonase and Augmentin. can we say horse pills???? Dayum, I can barely swallow them! i need to call to see if I can break them! I did wake up this morning breathing through my nose and no headache, first time in 2 weeka, but headache is trying to creep up on me again!
Not much else going on other than school work and weight gain. Yall know I am a reformed scale ho right? Haven't weighed in a very long time, but have noticed clothing getting tighter. Well, I had to get on the scale at the docs and it was up 11 pounds from the last itme I had weighed which was probably 6 months ago. Bill and I talked extensively about our struggle with gaining at 5 years out and he said it is diet time for both of us!! Well, which means, diet time for me and me nagging at him and him yelling about me nagging!! LOL Actually, alot of his is depression related and his Bi-Polar disorder that is waaaay out of whack which in turn stresses the hell out of me! He goes to a new psychiatrist on the 18th, so hopefully we can get back in check!
Well, I guess I better do something that looks like work. Prayers and hugz for all those in need!

morning everyone,
I don't know that my post will be any more positive than anyone else's, although there are no funerals or deaths (that I know of).
Karen, I can never understand that need and ability to take your own life. I am STILL angry with my BFF who did it going on four years ago, leaving a 6 year old baby with no mom. There is never a good reason.
Kathy, honey, it's tough and that's why we are here and that's why it's called support. If we can do nothing but read and pray, then we will.

Now for you sickos - Gina R, our Meggie, and all those others that my mind is blank on right now.. you remain in my prayers.
I ask for support in my work. YES, I have a job and I take tremendous pride in my work. With that comes the continuous being thrown under the bus and taking up the slack for others that just don't care. I hate it, but I am not going to let my industry suffer for the carelessness of others. And with that I take the fault for things I was not even involved with. And with no leadership support, I have to beg for it elsewhere. My mind aches and my body is exhausted. But I am getting it done. My time will come I know, but now, it's a biotch.
Okay, let's pray for healing in body, mind and SPIRIT. May the nasty weather NOT affect our attitudes.

I didn't bring my laptop with me because (a) I thought we would get our new ones on Monday, didn't happen and (b) I didn't want to have to lug two back on the plane.
Orientation has been, well, orientation. I'm anxious to get this part over and get started on my project. I'll be flying out to San Francisco on Sunday afternoon. Now I have to make the decision if I want to leave in time to get there to watch the Super Bowl or wait until it's over. I'm leaning towards the earlier flight. Lord knows Mr. King can't miss a minute of it!
It's been snowing here off and on all day - nothing heavy and I hope it stays that way. I'm headed back home tomorrow evening and don't have any extra clothes if my flight were to get cancelled due to weather. I'd hate to be all stanky running around trying to get home! LOL
Still trying to figure out if we're going to be able to make the cruise or not. The way the fiscal year runs here, I won't have much vacation "banked" by then, but I think I can borrow against what's going to be earned in the future. I need to get King to give me a YES or NO this weekend.
I've been wishing at least one of you had been here with me this week. I would love to get out an explore the city - even in the cold and snow. Just a little apprehensive about riding the train and roaming around alone - hells bells, I'd probably end up in Bad Bad Leroy Brown's neighborhood! I've got 3 friends that live here and ALL three are out of town - one of them is on a cruise ... lucky witch!
Anyway - that's my week in a nutshell. I promise I AM NOT packing cold / snow to bring home with me!

If you travel anytime during the summer I am IN! I've never been to Chicago either- but its on my Bucket List.
Hope you find a laundry mat or get your stinky clothes sent out for cleaning should you get stranded.... no fumes allowed.... lol Worst case scenario- Gap sells undies and socks (even in Paris), or shampoo from the room makes great detergent in the sink. Not the best but it'll do in a pinch (uhh umm...not that I'VE ever not planned right and should know all this info)
Hope you have fun in SF. Have a healthy meal at PIke's Place in my honor. (and maybe a chocolate bar in Ghirardelli Square)
